hydraulic steering for inboard?
hey all! in the process of restoring my inboard which had the original mechanical steering. was wondering if the change over to hydraulic steering makes that much of a difference or should i save myself a couple bucks and just replace with a new mechanical. original is already out, but have alot more to stuff i need to do so just trying to save money where ever possible.
happy new year to all Last edited by jesusv; 12-31-2011 at 07:31 PM. |

You will not regret hydraulic. Even on an inboard it makes a world of difference. Did mine several years ago....love it!

This is real easy...
Do you like power steering in your vehicle? Well, thats what your boat will be with hydraulic!! Happy New Year, Ken

Uflex makes the products fairly cheaply.......inboard with hydraulic makes it easy to steer with one finger istead of one hand.....not a huge deal for most buy a must if you're choosing an autopilot
