The efi engines were supposed to be very reliable. Probably similar to carbed motor in terms of fuel usage. Terrible paint that always seems to flake off of the mid sections and lower units. Also pretty heavy at over 500 lbs....not something for a 20 ft SC.

I don't have tons of data but a friend had one for 10 years and used it hard. He loved the motor.

i had a dt 200 on a sf20 cant remeber the year it was carbed and it ran great for the 5years i had it. it was a heavy engine, my 200 mercury now is much nicer on the transom. i up graded power the motor never failed me.
