Not much to do today I wanted to finish the Binacle but I need some parts to attach the cables that are missing and the Merc dealer is closed today

So i installed the brackets for the batteries under the console.
I need to get a battery switch and am waiting for the mail to deliver the battery cables I bought
I did connect the harnes to the engine side i still need to cut hole for the key and also for the Tach and gas gauge Thought I had at least 1 good battery but it looks like it's dead so I need 2

I also painted the cowl and base of the compass in Phantom Black going to get new decals soon It came out pretty good

I think I'm going to try and get the engine started this week see what other surprises I may have

Still Lots To Do before the June 1st spash date I may not make it

Not much done in the last few days
Installed binnicle and speed/gear cables
Installed harness and placed key in the dash
Put compass in place

Need to get the wire for the electrical items (bilge pump, lights, electronics Etc....)
I plan on running 2 pumps in the 1100 to 1500 range. Plus a thru hulll with a smaller pump for the bait well/wash down.

I don't want to over power on the baitwell pump but I don't want to go short on the wash down pressure
What are you guys running out there that works?

Evan that runs a 20 like mine has been kind enough to bring his boat over so I can copy his wiring. It's going to be a BIG help having one side by side to reference the work needed

And I'm waiting on the mail to bring me some goodies!!!

Default How or what do I do with this?

Would love to have this back on the console but it's pitted and not in the best of shape

And how to reattach it? the fittings on the back do not exist any longer

Suggestions?

Gorilla glue, seems to hold anything, even fixed my flip flops with it - 4200 would also work I bet

maybe paint it - black then hand paint the letters silver or gold - put some masking tape on after the black dries and an exacto or razor to trim out the letters for neater job with a hobby brush - they even make little jars of metalflake

Just read back into the thread - I am running an 1100 bait pump but must knock it down as it throws too much water for bait, so make it adjustable - it does decent on a washdown though. Not sure anything smaller would work for a washdown but I only went that size because of my seacock size and needed the 1 1/8", T & H marine makes some good baitwell stuff but at 1100 I bet I run mine halfway in most cases.

My 2 bildge pumps are 1100 and an 800 and that seems fine - start looking around for a Stilletto prop on the used market, you won't be disappointed, has to be the best all around SC prop on the planet - I found mine for 150 its a 19

On the motor you can get some red and gray pinstripe tape at Auto parts - stays pretty good
