Default 1 sheet of ply or more

is it better to use multible sheets of 3/4 or 1/2 0r one sheet of 1 3/4 on the transom of a 20 sf

I like 2 - 3/4" pieces sandwiched together.

I used 1 sheet of 1/2 inch with 1708 on both sides...if I had to do it over again. I would go at least 3/4 with 1708 on both sides.

Reason being is where the hatches are there was some flex until I doubled up some support.
