I had some fuel issues a couple years ago so had some work do in that area. Since my motor is mid - 90's figured the onboard lines were ethanol resistant - as nobody mentioned changing them, I thought about it but never asked.
WRONG - they are not, and I verified it when I bought some new line at the same shop - yes I did mention the fact it would have been nice to change them awhile back. The biggest culprits will be the 2 small lines on the high pressure side - mine developed a good sized pinhole and would not maintain fuel pressure. Its 45 psi so will squirt pretty good which is also a problem. These are very short, maybe 3" so you can't trim them back, they won't hold the pressure. The inside in the middle was OK but the ends were brittle and the liner showed deteriation. On my EFI They are located port side - just above the electric fuel pump, one comes of the regulator, the other from the little filter. Not sure how carbed motors are set up but its an easy cheap fix on both. They must not be too bad as I have run ethanol for years now but just an FYI, its still a pain even if your close to home.

Can u post up a pic ? I been doing some maint. on my XRi so I guess it wouldnt hurt to chage this out as well.

No pics - look just take the cowl off on the port side on top is the electric high speed fuel pump (round) - there are 2 short little hoses in that area, 3" - these are the high pressure ones leading to the injectors - there are only 2. The other lines are from the low speed pump to the VST and to the main fuel filter - the line that comes in from the fuel line connector to the low speed pump
The clips they use are the biggest pain - grab them on the little nub and twist it around with side cutters and they will break loose - finally. SS hose clamps are fine to replace I will re-do my lines over to the fuel filter also when I get time, these little boogers will leave you stranded the others not so much.
