Default What do you all think of this 20', 1972 Rebuilt?

Hi All. I've been lurking on the site for several months but this is my first post. I am "casually" looking for a 20' SeaCraft, preferably Potter Built. I'd like to get a rebuilt as I simply don't have time to do the work myself. I grew up on a 1973 Tsunami that my father still owns...I love it! I will be trailering the boat as moorings and slips are hard to come by, and very expensive where I live. I think a 23' is a bit too much to trailer and an 18' is a bit too small.

So, in your opinion is this boat overpriced? It looks gorgeous but I'm having a heart attack over the price. Has anyone seen it in person?

Thanks for any insight.

Default Rebuild.

I have seen that boat personnally, not a total up close inspection, but close enough. IMHO, that price is more than reasonable, he has WAY more into that re-do.
I have a 1970 20' that I re-did, and my price is in that ballpark also.

Some people think they can or actually can do them cheaper, but in the long run, with time, exp, etc it is better to buy one re-done, provided that it has been properly done.
The boat you have inquired about, is a VERY nice boat, no expense spared.

If you plan to keep it for a long time, you would not be sorry. Its not at all a bad price in my opinion To rebuild another one (to that level of finish and with all the things on the boat) would cost much more than what he is asking (motor depreciation included).

Woops, didn't mean to break forum rules. I thought that was just to solicit your own goods...

Thanks for the feedback though. Looks like I need to start saving my money!
