4 stroke power head replacement cost

I was just curious if anyone knows the going rate for a rebuilt 4 stroke Yamaha 225 power head?

I believe it's around 8k installed w/core . . . if I am remember correctly.

watch for the mid section in a older 225 four stroke as they had problems corroding

No one that I know of makes an aftermarket/ rebuilt for the larger yamaha four strokes. Japer Engines just started building up the 150 yamaha four stroke. They already did the smaller ones. I just installed one for $6900 on a boat in my fleet. I have yet to see any rebuilt power heads for Suzuki.

Anyway that is why the prices are up there as you have to get it from the manufacturer.
