Pelican, Pretty near all boats are tough in the keel, is what I meant, not giving them credit they don't deserve. I am a newbie over here but not totally uninitiated.
A thief stole my friend Norm's 17' Osprey with tower of power 90 horse. They slung it off the trailer in an intersection after the winch strap broke. The boat hit the pavement and skidded off the road, I was shocked to find there was no structural damage just scratched (ie machined) gelcoat and a broken skeg.

That pic. of the dually in the drink is a heartbreaker. Makes you think twice ...
