Default Power pole on 20 SF?

I'm thinking of installing a power pole on my 20sf and wondering if anyone has any advice or experience with this? I have a hermco bracket on the back of mine with a jack plate, so the bracket itself sticks out about 2 feet. Wondering where the best place to mount it would be? Would it be safe to mount directly to the bracket itself, or will reach over the bracket if mounted directly to transom...? Any thoughts/advice appreciated!!

Some jack plate mfg's have a bracket you can use to mount the power pole. I do a bunch of shallow water stuff and have considered a power pole but with my open transom I am hesitant.

With your full transom it would be a great addition.

BTW - sweet looking 20, who did the redo?

Just a guess but I think that ISLAMARINE is owned by Tom Gordon formerly of Gordon boat works & I think he may also have been responsible / affiliated with Hells Bay skiffs & has the reputation of a GURU in boat building/repair.

Thanks for that, yes I was just looking on the powerpole website and I see the jack plate mounting bracket option. I'll contact them directly too and see what they say.

Yes Tom redid the boat for me, he was manager for hells bay and has had the shop here in Islamorada for 2 years or so now I think. Definitely does good work! His website is islamarine.com, not much on there but has his contact info.
