Your test of holding the wire on the post and hitting button does not rule out the switch or its associated wiring.

Thanks for the reply Basketcase.

Bought new solenoid, put new connection on green/white wire that pulled off the Old solenoid.

Put it all back together and everything functions as normal.

All is right in my world again.

Even did a lil Seacraft/ Jamaica Bar bar crawl some friends to thoroughly test it out.

Glad to see you got it worked out, buddy. Electrical can be a bear sometimes. These folks help me out so much with boat stuff that I'm eager to help when I actually know something! Lol. I've been doing 12 v electrical as a career for 13 years so when it comes to wires I'm your man. Everything else.....that's why I'm here.
