Default How much for 20' Sea Craft

I have a 1974 20' Sea Craft with 1998 175HP Mariner
Re built engine in 2009(low hours)
Reinforced transom
Recently rewired
New lower unit
Good trailer
New tilt
New hydrolic steering

Deck needs work
What is she worth?
Love the boat but is it worth the effort to rehab?

When I rehabed my 20SF in 1990 it took $31K....
You have to make that call!!
Love it or leave it.....

once you start rehabbing you are likely to find more issues, e.g. if you're replacing the deck and remove it, what will the tank and stringers look like? It would make no sense to open it up and leave problems unaddressed. So the question is, how much do you love the boat and are you prepared to put in the time, work and any $ needed to do what might become a bigger project than just the deck?

i bought my 1972 20' seacraft with no motor bo fuel tank and no floor for $1800, bought a motor for $3000. re-corring gunnel cap, new penske transom, nida core floor and paint probably put $6000-$8000 into it when said and done. not including t-top and electronics

i got mine expecting to just put fuel tank in and floor, ended up pulling cap to find rotted core, and pulling transom also rotted, ended up doing everything possible, 9 months later still not done

Picked up a '74 20'sf a couple months ago. 150 blackmax, heavy duty galv trailer. Looks all original to me.

1 soft spot in front corner of bow platform will need to be addressed.

Transom a lil flexy.

Gave it a good cleaning, and new boot stripe, hull still shines. Boat was turn key ready.

Been putting a lot of hrs in it, very very happy with it.

Oh, almost forgot. Paid $1500 for everything.

I picked up a '89 Tracker built 20' CC a couple of months ago for $1100. It has a Merc 150 Black Max that I'm slowly getting squared away and was sittiing on aluminum trailer with 2 bent axles. Overall the whole package was pretty rough, but the price was right and I'm very happy. The prices on these boats seem to be all over the place.
