ox66 injected engines are probably one of the best,most reliable engines made
problems come in with owners,"self inflicted",this is what usually occurs,to kill one of these... prop that engine to run the top of it's rpm band,with the boat fully loaded

Hope I didnt kill mine today, just shut off on the way out this morning about 9 miles offshore.
Tried to start it, It popped but seemed to need fuel. Didnt sound right cranking so not wanting to do more damage if somthing internal, I just called Seatow, (Good thing I renewed membership yesterday.) Twin 300 Suz on the tow boat he towed me home at 30mph! When we pulled out he said we were going to get it on a plane. Didnt expect that but we were home in a hurry.

I'm on my 4th...150, 200, 225(bought new), and now 250. Replace the LP pumps every year or two, replace or clean HP inlet screen, O2 sensor cleaning, keep fuel clean, and run 'em! Usually it's fuel delivery related when there's a problem as described above.

I had a 2000 ox66 225. I hated that motor. It never left me stranded and it would run ok for about 18- 20 hours after I cleaned the oxygen sensor, but then it would run real rough and smoke. I took a ride with factory rep and he got me a prop with less pitch. That helped some, but the sensor would still clog up after about 25 hrs. I switched to a Yam 4-stroke seven years ago and I'm very happy with it.
