ive gone down to the stringers on my 73 23' cc only number I found was on the transome

Part of the HIN is on the bottom of the splashwell. On the side facing the front. Its 4 digits. In the below picture, it's just above the fish measurement sticker in the center (denoted by the red oval).

My '73 doesent have a hidden HIN. I currently have it down to the stringers. I believe that some time around the 1986 model year a hidden HIN became mandatory. For instance my 1983 Boston whaler only has the standard HIN however my 1988 Boston whaler has a 2nd HIN under the front hatch.
