Default Guy Harvey or Sarah Greenier?

http://www.sarahgreenier.com/oils1-27.html

Many of you have seen my Sister`s art and I always want to promote any and all artists.
What do you think about the market for shirts. She has a small card co. doing their thing.
I think many of her paintings would be sweet on shirts. She wants no part of this, and I want Janet to spin her administrative magic. Win win in Sarah`s words. Thoughts please.

Cheers,
Darla

Sandy, it's always a gamble, but, I think given the quality and content of her art, she should have no problems tapping into the t-shirt market. I feel confident that they would do really well on the Outer Banks in NC. in addition to offering them on her website, I would try to get them in the commercial stores as well. Mike Keller's commercial fishing store in Manteo sells shirts along with all the commercial stuff. Keller's also has a strong following from the recreational end. Good luck and hope to see them on the market!

Maybe not that particular print, but the style would go well on a high end T-shirt. Find a high end store in the right ecosystem, do a series of pictures designed for T-shirts and I think they would sell like hot cakes, and for a good price, too.

Thumbs up

Zanderman,
As I've told you before, I really like the vibrant colors Ms. Sarah presents. The t-shirt thing has some possibility but would have to be done a high end level as to not "cheapen" her art. Like a custom knit sweater.

I think her art would be better applied to a larger canvas. More decorative items like, tapestries, quilts, comforters, and linens. Furniture cloth for the sofa or lazy boy, and cheery curtains and room dividers for the lakefront or Cape homes, would make interesting decor. I suspect a retailer like LL Bean, Orvis, et. al., could present several selections seasonally with some results. The "Mohegan Collection," The "Rockport Collection." "Your Lupines or your life..."

Wish I could afford a nice piece or two to brighten up my world...

Thanks for your thoughts and kind words all.

Gillie, she has nice giclee prints. I have some and they are sweet. I also have an original.....
YUM!!! A very kind gift. She is using her art on greeting cards and is fine with it. High end goods are nice, but I want to keep this focused and managable. Guy Harvey originals still go north of 100k, but the shirts sell by the millions. She has a niche, as all the shirts I see are tropical.
