Default Don Herman, Hermco

I had the opportunity this past weekend to go up to Don's shop, first time I have seen the shop and the first time I have met Don.
I must say this, what an amazing shop, neat, clean and organized, I wish I could keep mine that way!
And for Don himself, what a wealth of information.
Anyway, to say the least, I was impressed.
If anyone has the chance to go meet Don at the shop and have him do some work, you will be best served.
PS: Don, (I won't mention that sweet little man cave you got going on there. ;-)
PSS: I did manage to make it home safely with my "Analog" tie downs!! :-)

I'm very, very satisfied with his bracket and willingness to help! Shipper dinged my bracket a little. Don sent me, at his expense, the materials to repair it. Before I bought this SeaCraft Don spent a lot of time on the phone offering free advice and wisdom. If I'm ever down that way I'll definitely stop in and bring him a cold one. Thanks again Don!

Good post OP, and I concur with everything you said! Did you get to meet Buster, Don's 110 lb Lab/Rotweiler mix? He always goes nuts over Shadow, my female Lab/Greyhound mix, but she just ignores him, and even eats some of his food! Don says women treat him the same way!

Don even remounted my motor for free, raising it as high as possible on the bracket, and plugging/gelcoating the old mounting holes. When I asked what I owed him, he said just make a contribution to Buster's snack fund, so we brought him a bunch of big bones when we picked up the boat!

Ditto on Don!!

When lil' Kenny picked up the 87 Sceptre with a Stainless Marine bracket
Don helped me out on the phone with my geometry lesson
mounting this to the boat... He could have very well told me to go
pound sand, but he came through without any question!!

Don you are the best! Thanks again!!!

I couldn't be more happy with my bracket and his work! Well actually I could be, if I could afford to just have him finish the boat!!
