Engine height question on Classic 23"

My transom measures 28 3/4 from top center down to keel, so only a couple inch notch is needed. Also, I have 10 inches from inside of top of transom down to deck, so still will be plenty of height to keep water out.

Saw wont be out for another month, so until then, tons of research, opinions, etc!
