Yes Ken,I have been giving some thought to getting out of the northeast, and heading south.

I've been spending a little time online looking at real estate in Florida.
It's easier to say then it is to actually do.Most of my family, lives close by,except my son who lives in Long Island NY.
See a lot of very reasonably priced real estate around Cape Coral on the net,but don't know anything about that area.I don't care for the streets after streets of the same cookie cutter houses that all look the same. They are not what i'd want to live in.
I'd prefer something a little older with some charm.Nothing big or expensive.Financially,it's out of the question for me to have two houses.
Thinking maybe best bet would be to spend the summers in my camp in Western NY,and sell my home in Ma.and get a place down south for the late fall to early spring.
I need to take a Florida vacation and go there and check out the areas that are affordable.
I just have to build up the nerve to do it.Still have a year to go for retirement.
