Very interested in this thread

I've got a 87 20sf (which I believe may be a little longer then yours) and I currently top out 33mph at 5500-5600rpm. It's a painted stainless Yamaha prop 17p.

Out of curiosity what hole is your engine mounted in.

Nice looking boat.

The cavitation plate is about one inch above the boat bottom. 3rd hole but my transom was rebuilt to 25"ish so not factory specs. She is a 74 hull. If I had known where the motor would sit I would have built the transom higher than the 25 3/4" it is now.

If your running a Yamaha four stroke the 15 pitch Amita should get you a bit more speed/rpms but I was running a light load and 35mph at normal trim so we are pretty close I would think.
