Yep, I had a 175 envirude on my mine back in the day and it was perfect in every way. And 25 years later I'm back refurbishing the same hull. Repowering: That's what I'm doing now. 175 optimax new if I can get financing. Otherwise it's Yamaha 200 hp small block 1999 hdpi with rebuild power head. The thing is, if you go higher than 150 hp you can't use a manual steering(atleast not the cheaper ones anyway) which sucks cause then you have to bone up for a power steering system which I believe sucks horsepower off the motor and juice off the battery/motor electronics.
I prefer 2 strokes on these older hulls handsdown.
