I think the hostility you are getting over on THT is just your reluctancy to disclose WHY you won't let go of a $500 steering wheel on a boat that costs $98,500. Clearly there must be some sentimental value and even though no one that has replied to your thread is even remotely interested in buying the boat............they just want to be nosey and hear why such a small item would kill the sale. You should make up some crazy story like you milled it yourself, by hand, from a metal that's not listed on the periodic table..............UN-OBTANIUM. You put the edson logo on it so that no one would be suspecting of it.

Do I need to tell them why? No.
Do you serious believe the fact that "THAT" wheel is not going with the boat will kill the sale?
Doubt it, it doesn't matter. Someone could offer me twice what I an asking for the boat, three times, the wheel is not going with boat.
Just the way it is.

That wheel is the best thing going for you as a business and as a seller. It has got you more time in the spot light over at the tht than if you would of hired an advertisement promotion rep. Lots of attention to your business with a prime example as your workmanship as a show piece. Even if you don't sell the boat you have gotten better advertisement than a 60 second commercial during the super bowl.

And again, an awesome seacraft 20', hope my little cc turns out half that nice!

The people selling SC's should be thanking me. Especially the guy on THT selling that 23.
I have had over 5000 hits on that site in two days, he has had 3000 in over two weeks. There are on his thread, talking about my wheel (or lack thereof) and my umbrella, go figure.
The hits on my Web site daily went from 16 to over 100.
Yes, no such thing as bad press.

FF: Ps, and thank you for the compliment, you have some nice stuff there also.
