Default '71 23 CC rebuild

Im about to start the tear down and rebuild of a 23' csc. The floor was soft and upon inspection saw that it has been replaced with home depot ply and they didnt bother glassing underneath. no problem. I got it. My problem is that the top cap was done as well and just needs to be thrown out and rebuilt. recoring is not an option because it just looks like a hack job. My problem is that i do not know where to start with building the cap from scratch. I know there is a lot of good builders on here who can steer me in the right direction. Ive looked through hundreds of builds and cant really find any that have been done. (mostly recoring). If anyone has some answers it would be greatly appreciated.

Calibogue's "My 20' redo" has a new full fab cap made from composite and it is a well done project. Not a 23' but same principal.

I am about to make the top cap for my project. Give me about two weeks and I will post pics of how we are doing it.

Here is a link to a thread showing how I built a cap/deck for a 22 Aquasport....

http://forums.bateau2.com/viewtopic....1294&start=130

I was using foam core over a jig, If you use marine plywood you need far fewer molds.
