Thanks guys, thanks for the pedestal height Fred, that's about where my bases are at.For some reason i was thinking the pedestals were shorter.

CDAVIS, My bases do work well and they are very strong, but I keep thinking they look goofy.most others, unlike me,think they look fine.I was thinking the bench on the port side would be a good place for storage as well as seating.

Captain Chuck, I had been giving some thought about using a cooler on the port side which would also serve a dual purpose, for food, drinks, and storage. I doubt I have the finances to be as Gucci as that Bert. Something tells me that I may have to resort to an Igloo,Coleman,or other el cheapo cooler with a cushion on top.I love the Yeti's, Pelican's Engles, etc, but they are biiiig dollars, and at my age maybe even a cheapo coleman would outlive me.
