those makos are a good hull,a real good hull !
nothing wrong with the power on that rig - make sure it's propped correctly ! having it wheeled correctly is all the difference in the world !

buying and having a boat in useable condition versus playing the "restore game" is a no brainer !

I beg to differ concerning what a restored boat will bring,at time of resale - the boat's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it - nothing more,nothing less.
restored boats - people are often turned off by the term "restored" - the restore is only as good as the materials used,and the quality of the labor.often times the "backyard expert",with all the pictures and fancy terms,the end product is often not what it's made out to be...a gentleman who "did up" an old 23 mako,the boat was sold and the poor craftsmanship/"engineering" and materials proved to be less than steller...

you've got a sweet mako right there - go enjoy it !! you'll like the ride on that hull - you'll like the lay out too !
