Center Console work. I finally figured out what that indention is on the front of the SeaCraft center console. It's for the original plexiglass windshield. Found a picture showing the windshield going all the way down into that groove on the front. It was to counter balance against wind pressure I guess. Since I won't have a windshield, I'm filling it in for a smoother look. Moving the steering wheel to the left and going to flush mount electronics, so the sliding doors are history. There will be a flush cabinet door next to the electronics so I will still have access to about 1/3 of the right side up top, to store stuff. Also moving the hinges on the front seat so it will lift from the front instead of on the side.
I didn't believe how much it would cost to renovate a boat. My quotes were adding up to much less that what I read about on the forum.... But, now I see what happens, one change leads to another. And, once you get started, it's really hard to stop.
