Default Current Brands vs. SeaCraft

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but what current manufacturer builds boats most similar in quality, ride and handling to SeaCraft (during their better years) in the 23' to 27' class? Regulator?

Sailfish boats builds high quality VDH hulls from 20' to 32'.

I recently got a ride in a 270 WAC in 3'-5', and it was comparable to the old 27' Master Angler. Very, very nice, and better than an Intrepid or Contender. I would guess better than a Regulator, as well. We were able to hold plane at about 16-17 mph in pretty bumpy conditions running with the swells. Mostly 3'-4', but the occasional 6' as well.

I do admit that I thought this was too fast for conditions, and we should have come off plane, because every 15-20 waves we would take a swell on the planing surfaces that really jarred the hell out of every one on the boat.

New boat, with an owner who had never driven anything bigger than his previous 17' Key West. It was a learning experience for him :-)
