That should have worked well - those box fans move a LOT of air!

Poly is far more effective than Quaaludes. If Bill Cosby had only been a boat builder.

Well, tent is down and the car is back in its home ready for re-assembly. The job turned out nice for some one with limited painting experience. Took 2 hours to take the tent down and box it up. Few pics of the air pump and the ice box that cooled the supply air to the hood and suit. I don't think I would of been able to stand the heat with out the tub full of ice cooling it down. Used a 75 quart cooler of Ice in the tub (all melted in the pics) and the copper tub transfers the heat fairly well. May take a clean smaller radiator and adapt fittings on it and dunk it under the ice water next time or add some more tub to the line now to get a little better transfer. All in all Im happy with the job, with all paint, sand paper, tent, and air supply pump kit and fans it was still under $1500 to do every thing form primer to finish. The cheapest local shop wanted $5000. So I saved $3500 and it feels good to do something yourself especially when you cant afford to pay someone else. The hot rods flatzs hugger orange matted color looks good, defiantly different than a high gloss job but im really liking it. Now just to place the pieces back on, get the new wheels & tires mounted and then she will be ready to hurt some fellings.

The car is titled and can be tagged, and is a true street car. I had the head lights out for weight (replaced with blanks and stickers that looked like headlights) but I am putting the lamps back in it and rewiring the turn signals and the rest of the car this winter. Brake lights still work and it is streetable with a set of dot rear tires. I would love to get a chance to run one of the guys on the show, and could possibly take a stab at an upset. The 405 is actually coming August 29th to Piedmont dragway about 2.5 hours from me but it will only be Doc vs Monzo best 2 out of 3 match race and not a full tape episode. Right now the car is not as fast as those cars but will be soon enough. I am around 750ish HP now and going from 23 degree heads carb fed to 13 degree heads injected set up this winter that should bump me up close to 900 HP and then I may have a chance at it. If they do a full taping near here next year I will be there to rep the 252 if I can get my foot in that door for sure...

You`ll be close. Farmagedon is now at 1060 on the dyno at the crank. With your lighter weight and superior aerodynamics, you might make the list.

Who makes the dual scroll turbo on the ecoboost motahs?

The Sonoma has to be north of 2000 no? The 62 is shooting for north of 2500.
Back in the day a 10 second street car was rare.

I was an asshole on two wheels when I was a squid.

Times have changed, a fast car is slow now days. I you aint a 8 second and less twin turbo car or hosting 3 stages of nos you wont make the quick 8 at the track no more. Im shooting for low 5's in the eighth which would be some where near the mid 8 second mark in the quarter. The reason for switching from carb to efi this fall is that's the first step in prepping towards a turbo set up. Got quotes coming in on a pair of snails, they are not to bad. All the stuff that you need with them is what kills you. Wont happen this fall but it is being prepped for that direction.

Its been a long time...so I don't know the rules anymore. It use to be if you could break 12 on a street car, you had to put a cage in....

Boy is that a dog now...hey!
