Thanks Guys!! I'm leaning to just pulling off the bad original one I have and buy the SEI. They are located 45 minutes from me so it's getting to be a no brainer.

Default Genuine Mercury Parts

Donny, If you don't use Genuine Mercury parts your motor will no longer be covered by the warranty - then what will you do????

PS - you might want to try a shot of Apple Pie or a dollup of Pink Panty Drop in that old lower unit first. That thing would probably spool up like a Speedmaster and shift like a Power Glide!

Oh NO!!! I never thought about that!

Let me give this idea of spending real American dollars on my 2003 EFI engine, which is just barely out of warranty!! Maybe a new G2 250 HO eTec instead!!!!
