Dear shed lurker - here is a simple step-by-step approach:
1 Buy as many gold bars with cash as you can ( you are gonna need them and gold is down right now)
2 mix gold bars with the old dive weights that have 'crawled' into the bilges, cover with 90W oil and bearing grease.
3 Start opening up the cap just a little and grumble alot about how much time and money its gonna take to fix.
4 Make as many upgrades as you can - new engine? yep. Electronics? yep. with CHIRP? Yep. New axles for trailer - ABSOLUTELY
5 Repeat steps 1-4 until you have an easily reparable but unfloatable boat that secures your future.
6 Spend a year with lawyers in Purgatory.
7 Break out the Marine-Tex, clean the bilges, and go fishing.
