Anyone know this boat?

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading threads on this forum for a few years now, and decided it was time to sign up and participate. I used to have an 18' Parker CC that was a lot of fun but sold it about 8 years ago,XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxxx

I'd mostly be fishing in the Vineyard Sound (probably keeping the boat on a mooring in Tashmoo) and weather permitting would like to take it south of the Vineyard to the Claw, Dump etc. and the shipping lanes east of Cape Cod.

Great! But if you have been a lurker for a few years you would know that posting an add with info relating to someone else's boat for sale and further stating that you are wanting a SeaCraft boat is against this forums rules.

while inboard diesels might be nice for fuel economy and weight distribution . . . You might want to spend some time on the boat especially if you are considering trolling with it. They are too noisy IMO and that is coming from someone who runs old rattlebox Blackmax mercs.

Thanks for the info Bigshrimpin! I had wondered about the noise, most of my experience is with outboard 4 strokes or larger commercial boats. Been on one with an inboard gas engine but really would like the economy of a diesel.

Sorry for the infractions, I had seen other posts in the past with links to boats and figured trying to get some intel on this one was appropriate. I'll read through the forum rules again, but I'm not sure why saying I'd like to get a boat at some point is not ok? Is this forum only for people who currently own one?

It`s a common ploy to get exposure for a sale. You unwittingly stumbled.

The only way the site makes enough money to cover expense of running it is from the fees members pay to list their boats for sale, so the administrators are a bit touchy about posting links to boats for sale from other sources, as that may reduce odds of a member's boat selling. No problem with saying you want a boat . . . we all have been bitten by the bigger boat bug, and you certainly don't have to own one to join! Welcome aboard!

Gofastsandman and Bushwacker, thanks so much! I didn't know the site made money from for sale ads, and it definitely makes sense that the mods would want to keep the site free of outside sources. I would much rather support the site through donations and for sale threads rather than see it get littered with advertising like many other sites.

Hopefully I can contribute in other threads in the future, I have just about 0 knowledge when it comes to restoring Seacrafts, but I'm hoping to take a project on like that in the future. They really are the best riding hulls around. I grew up on Martha's Vineyard and fished a friend's 20' hull during the commercial striped bass season, had it riding pretty low in the water when you'd hit your limit, made the trip over to New Bedford a little dicey at times. I'm hoping a 23' will be a nice size for the sound and heading offshore when the conditions are right. Thanks again guys, and I'll try and ask more specific questions (without links) about any boats I look at in the future.

Use the search function. Plenty of reads here that will keep you busy. When you find your ride be sure to post some pictures. We all love boat porn

It might be a little while before I find the right ride, but I will definitely post a ton of pictures once I do. That build thread from heynow2203 was probably one of my favorite builds on this site, so many great pics of what turned out to be one of the nicest 23's I've ever seen.
