Lived here all my life but go to Jersey for Eagel game a couple of times a year. Seems like quite a hassle to live there. I could also see how having snow on the ground for 150-200 days a year would make me miserable to live with to.

One thing they do have up there is some amazing food.

where i'm from - it didn't snow that much - I lived off the ocean
we had cold ! last 2 winters we had record cold temps - with the wind chill it was -25 for almost a full day - it warmed to a balmy 0 for a few days...

food down here is terrible !
