Bill, all the Moesly designs will plane at about 12 mph if balanced and powered as originally designed (I/O, or OB motors of 300 lbs or less!) Although your motor is relatively light for a V-6, it still exceeds the original design weight, so you need more stern lift to compensate. A 4B prop and/or an AV plate fin (SE Sport or Doelfin} will do that and drop your min planning speed significantly.

When I repowered from a 300 lb motor on transom to 427 lb motor set back 30" bracket, my min planing speed went from 12 to about 23 mph! Switching to a 4B prop got it back down to 12 mph!
