Seven Marine 627 hp outboard

Hummm........personally I'm thinking....

1. speed - the 7 Marine engine WILL push faster top speed than a 300hp.

2. function - I don't believe that bay boat's being rigged for poling shallow water, rather just to
experiment towards having an extremely fast rig, capable of easily cruising at fast speed at lower rpm, and a wild top end speed.

3. purpose - fun, experimentation, to be the first smaller rig with the monster motor !
Whoever is paying, I assume has the money to burn, and play.....

I'd categorize this discussion as fun related, not too serious. Hope none of the SeaCraft purists find it offending... after all, it's boating, not actuary work, and I don't wear a bow tie when I go boating !!
