Not the sexiest of the clan, but has the venerable VDH and that is all you need. Capt. Lloyd has one and his family seems to like the cabin and utility of that model. Welcome and post some pics. I can help with the deslackerization process. |

As sandman said, kind of the ugly duckling of the fleet, but still a great hull. Not that many walkarounds are sharp looking. As for most of these old boats look for rot. Transom decks, etc,.

"Not the sexiest"??? "Ugly duckling"???
![]() ![]() Granted, the lines of the topsides aren't as pretty as the hull, and the use of space isn't great, but the walkaround layout works great for my family. When we were shopping for a 23, one big request from my wife was a cabin for the kids to get out of the weather. I showed her a Spectre, and she asked "How do you get to the bow?" That's when I started hunting for a WA. The kids sit up front all of the time. BTW, it's nice to be able to chase a sailfish all the way around the boat ![]() This model was only built in the mid-late 80's by Tracker. If you find one that's original, figure you'll have to spruce up some wiring, maybe replace the transom, and most likely put in a new fuel tank (which in the way Tracker built the boat, makes this harder than it shoud be) ![]() Still, it's the Seacraft VDH hull, and rides great! Good luck! Lloyd Mods, maybe this should be moved to the General section

Thank you all. I still have a SeaCraft Bow Rider, know and enjoy the hull design. I felt I might enjoy the walk Around for use in less than pleasant conditions. Thanks again George.

I have had this boat since 2004 and from the time I got it I fell in love with the ride ....I am from long island and fish the great south bay and have been out there on many sloppy days and I can tell you with 1000% confidence that this boat just eats it up ....I am now putting a hermco platform on her and closing in the transom
