Default Classic 23

Hey guys been lurking for a while and don't post often but wanted to thank everyone for all the informative posts and information passed along. Recently finished redoing my '78 23 and wanted to share.

Yes, welcome and more pics please. To your engine height question; I understand the Suzi may like to be mounted a little lower as they swing a larger diameter prop.

Started this project because I blew my carbed Yamaha. Decided to bracket the boat, transom was redone by previous owner and in great shape so I used 3/4" marine ply and 1708 patch the notch. I was unsure of the tanks age and cut a little soft spot up and that turned into a new floor and deck. Moved the 80 gallon poly tank forward about a 1 1/2 feet, I used a rough CG calculation to try and keep the ride and balance similar to pre bracket. I bracketed because I dive often and the swim platform was huge for me. Big thank you to Don Herman for the bracket and advice along with Joel Shine for materials and advice.

And also thanks to Mike and Steve at international marine, great guys running a very customer oriented business with great pricing. When I get the funds together I will be calling them for a Conch.
