Default Ft. Lauderdale Airshow this weekend?

Anybody going to the Air & Sea Show this weekend?

Sunday is Mothers Day and my daughter was real close to her mom who passed away in January, so this Sunday will be a tough day for her. Since she lives in Margate, I thought I'd take boat down and pick up daughter, launch at either Alsdorf Park in Pompano or Pioneer Park in Deerfield the night before (either Fri. or Sat.), anchor out overnight in Lake Boca, fix dinner and breakfast aboard, and then run down to the show the next morning and anchor off the beach to watch the show. I understand the T-Birds, F-22 and F-35 will be there, so should be a good show! I'll have the VHF on if anyone wants to call me if you want to hook up. Or send me a PM and we can exchange cell numbers. Denny

That, my friend, sounds like a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day weekend! You know she'll be right there watching over you! Be safe and have fun!

OK Ryan. Headed down there tonight so planning to make the Saturday show. I was going to try to anchor up just north of the restricted area; I'll be running down from the Boca Inlet. Do you know if they have mooring buoys on any of the reefs like we have off the Breakers up here? Using them would be easier than anchoring, although I should probably bring my dive flag! You can try calling me on the VHF ch 16. I'll also PM you cell number for me and daughter. Denny
