recommendations for repair in RI- Scuppers

Looks like those scuppers have been repaired once before, as a '73 should have the wood blocks Gillie mentioned. Looks to me like you've already done the hard work, as the glass surrounding the tubes appears to be in good shape. The fractured gel coat in the well in the deck is just cosmetic and could be easily repaired using thickened epoxy. The tubes I bought were already flared on one end, so I installed them with flared end on inside and cut them at an angle parallel to bottom so they extended roughly 1/8" below hull. I made my own flaring tool using a threaded rod and some 1/2" drive sockets that rolled the edge over about 45 degrees to start the flare on the bottom. The brass is pretty soft so I just used a ball peen hammer to peen the flared out edge flat against the hull.

You should keep the wedge in front of the scupper outlet . . . it creates a lot of suction when you're on plane and will drain water off the deck in a hurry.
