I grew up in Ft. Pierce in St. Lucie County. Yes, I thought the county numbers on the license plates were originally by population. St. Lucie County was 24 and Vero Beach (Indian River County) was 32. Don't know how it is in Fla now, but then when you bought a used vehicle, the plate stayed with the car until the next year. I caught some flack, who the heck was this infiltrator from Vero, driving around the Ft. Pierce burger joints in a '61 Corvette, because it had 32 on the plate. BTW- I added a bumper hitch to tow the 14' Fabuglas.
