Default Pedestal seat to Todd pedestal leaning post?

Opinions? Has anyone installed the adjustable Todd leaning post to the existing pedestals after removing the seat? I'm considering this options on my 20 sf.

I'm wondering if the pedestals can handle the load from the taller leaning post? The deck they're attached to is solid.

Thanks in advance.

It wasn't a Todd but had a similar seat on my old 20 it worked fine but found I wished for a regular type pipe frame seat as it's much better at getting a cooler under the seat. Storage is always a issue in smaller boats

My 18 only came with 1 seat. I bought the Todd leaning post made for a single pedestal and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I weigh 200 and I've a run the boat while sitting on it as well as the many runs in rough seas bouncing off of it and have complete confidence in it.

Thanks for sharing. Uncleboo, you have almost exactly the setup I was thinking, except I've got a 20sf. The Tood leaning post looks like a winner. I can get a used one for a decent price. I like the little storage cubbie in the back. I'll put my drinks in a small cooler bungeed between my pedestals.

I've considered a new leaning post with regular legs, but budget is a deterrent.

I Have a Todd on my work boat a Carolina Skiff. The hull is a 99. it hauls all kinds of firewood, mulch and lumber all day and the Todd is good to go. Only thing I have replaced its the canvass and their backrest. I was 240 now 210 after 8 years.

I am hoping to switch to Todd single leaning posts on all my deck boats this winter. (5) makes ski trips way easier as you can saddle the leaning post if you set the height right.
