Default Sail off the Juno Ball

About 1980-1981, caught off the Juno Ball. Bet some of you remember that!
This was followed by a fun smoked fish, cheese and beer party; guess that was before releasing 'em gained popularity. In 1961 as a teenager I went with my Dad & his cronies on a charter boat out of Ft. Pierce where we boated 8 sails. That sounds glutinous now, but when there were so many fish, folks didn't consider conservation.

The little boy, my son is 37 now, lives in Manhattan, and still visits when he can to enjoy "Neat-Sea" with us.

Cool pic! Is that the same boat that you have now? Any idea where the Creeper tow vehicle is now? J/K

Michael.

Yes, Michael. Same boat, same wife, and fortunately the Dodge van is long since gone. Bought it used to see if it worked with our family. Wife hated it, then loved it after 2 weeks. It was superseded by a new '84 full size Chevy conversion van, then a couple of Astros (with the boat in the water in Fla it did not require much of a tow vehicle), and now in SC (where towing is more of a challenge) a 2008 GMC Yukon. I used to cuss the Dodge for all the accessories that quit. But after putting a ton of mileage on it had to admit I never had to go internally into the 318 cubic inch engine!

Default Lee runs inshore outta Englewood now.

Thats where I live would be great to have a chat w/him. What a great story and pic. Yep you never know what will show up on the end of a line.

I had a bump in the night experience years ago with one of my closest friends. Left Stump at about 3 am and had the ob hit not one but over six times what I now believe to be turtles going in for nesting. At the time it was a bit spooky.
