I'm closing in my transom when permanently mounting my bracket and forgoing transom scuppers and will be draining out the sides? Has anyone seen or come across some molded clam covers designed for side drains? I really don't like the looks of the stainless screw on type.

Have not. The only thing I've seen is a bronse cover that is held to the hull with screws. It would work, but it ain't pretty.
Why have clam covers at all? My 25 has straight out holes through the side, seems to work fine. Even when the boat is rolling, not much water comes back in. One thing that might be important. Mine has a small well to catch water coming off the deck or in thru the hull |

Can't say as I ever looked at the scuppers in a turn, or, for that matter, when the boat was rolling a lot. Never noticed any extra water back there except when I had a lot of people weight on one side in the stern for an extended period.
I think the small well under the scuppers is important. I get a small amt of water flushing in and out regularly. It quickly flushes any fish guts or other stuff out of the boat, no fuss, no muss, and the flush doesn't extend beyond the well. |

there is a couple good ideas here,I would say mold your own and feather them in..otherwise,without scoops you will get a gurgling effect when coming up to plane

How high do you have to raise the floor to run side scuppers without having them under water at rest?
