I would think on the lines of 5/4 ipe (iron wood)
Heavy, sturdy and rot proof. Looks like teak and NO Finish coating is required.

Nice! Those ladders are useful IMO. Mine is a rebuilt original with remanufactured clips by Mitch (Flexpat) and his son.
