A 20' CC is a nice open platform to fish off of but when you bolt a top on you can really change the whole dynamics of the boat and how it can be used.

Not as bad as a Bimini top though. A friend of mine and I were coming back from Marquesas one time and headed into a stiff wind. I looked over at his 20 cc and his Bimini looked like a parachute. Before I could get his attention, the front strap must have broke and it collapsed to the rear.
Years ago, I decided to have a zipper installed in the canvas of my t-top, along with a hand rail on top. I could stand on my leaning post while trolling and steer with my foot. Not the height of No Bones, but it was an advantage. Decided to add some shade and I made a prototype top out of pvc, which did help with some shade. I used it for a few years, before getting a new top.
