Default Crystal River

Hello all,

Gonna run the Sceptre up from TB to CR the 1st week in July for a little scalloping week. I am having a devil of a time finding some transient dockage for the week. Tried all the marinas including Pete's. Pete's says the only way to reserve a spot is to pay for a slip for the month. Any ideas out there? I am staying at a friends cabin in the woods so taking a trailer down a small sandy road does not seem an option

Help!

Default Crystal River

The first part of Scallop Season in Crystal River is quite crazy and there are usually more scallops near the end of the season. It's almost like the first week of Lobster Season in the Keys.
I do know there is dockage and water front rooms available on September 21-23 at MacRae's / the Shed in Homasassa, however there will be a rowdy bunch there then in SEACRAFTS!!!!.......
Fresh caught Fish and Scallops will be grilled along with Don's Hushpuppies and possibly gumbo, if da' Heron shows up. Sips of "golden honey" will be taken from mason jars in brown bags and barefoot girls will be danc'in in the moonlight to the band, whilst tall tails of sea lore are be spun at the campfire.
Kinda' boring....if you are comatose!
I'll PM you with a couple of Way Point stops to check out along the way up.

All I know is that when we get back Friday evening with all the fish there better be a spot on the dock to park next to the cleaning table. Terry and I are going to be awful tired from shooting big grouper and snappers and not in the mood to drag them carcasses too far to put the blade to em.
