Definitely a strange storm. Watched rainbands on radar and had gusts around 80 with the heavier rains. Around midnight here I noticed that the lower half of the storm had almost no rain and the last of the heavy rains were past us. Went to bed and all heck broke loose. Tree branches snapping off and hitting ground and a couple landed on the roof. The winds were howling at about 100 and we were a long way from the center. Fence was crushed and lost some shingles, but boat just filled with leaves.

Makes sense Ron.....
Same thing here around 1:00 AM
With you and I about 70 miles apart !!
Had those gusts over a hundred till around 3-4 AM
Dogs barking every time something bounced off the roof...
No way to sleep with that going on.
More concerned with the 9.14 inches of rain running down hill washing
my private road out..

Generac still running, going through 100 lbs a day !!!
