Interesting thread. Not real sure what that was for until I saw Kmoose’s response. Mine doesn’t have that on the sceptre. My windshield was removed in 2005 and redone with sunpane? (Spelling May be wrong there) but it was powder coated and reglazed. I added the receipts up in the file I had from Previous owner in st Pete. 4000.00 bucks!! With that said; that’s exactly why it took kmoose to do it right inside 40 hours. Sounds like a headache. If one of my kids breaks my window they may have to swim to shore.

Anybody have a guess as to how much is required to do an entire Sceptre windshield? At $5/foot, that stuff ain't cheap!

I am still curious as to the purpose of these? It is to prevent metal to metal contact in the windshield frame or it is just to keep water out?
