Removing valve - not a terrible idea although a) getting to the vale would be hell ! And, that would mean taking the boat out which we're trying to avoid.

This is in the most ridiculous location. This project has been hell. Even removing the water filter was tough as it was mounted so low down in the bilge area and the access holes only allow for shoulders and arms.

Mostly for the getting off, as the teeth will tear up the new hose a bit.

If posdible, Wrap the pipe with a little duct tape first
