Surprised the nuts were not accessible through the vents, however unless you have very skinny arms with about six different socket adapters it looks like you might be stuck as is. That being said getting the ones off you have is a piece of cake, 4 1/2" grinder with a cut off wheel and 10 minutes your done. Then there is patching the holes which is always fun. I'd then install pop up cleats between the rod holders as far aft as you can reach with a 3/8" pneumatic ratchet. Have fun!!

If you can wait a week or so for shipping, these are a crazy good price! Many to choose from on the web.
