Humm,

The "RK" in your FL number tells me this was done within the last year..
I bought a 19 ft G3 in March of this year and the new FL registration is "RN"

Hard to say how to set this straight with the state...

Honestly would not lose sleep over it my 1970 is titled, Make "BLANK"
Body VS , WT-L-BHP 20'

We all know it is a SeaCraft

Welcome Home !

Default Stepping in to the Way-Back machine...

I love a research project. I don’t have a chance to read through all of this but here’s an old thread, check out post #2. Unless your boat is a sailboat built in Hawaii the problem is with the DMV. It looks like Sam Ervin got “SEC” after SeaCraft changed. Maybe the USCG can clear this up?

Many thanks for the help, gentlemen. I know (or at least was told) my boat was purchased from the original owner last year, who kept it in a barn in GA since new. The title had to be transferred to FL, so it got new FL numbers last year.

I've done some digging and found this list of USCG registered HIN prefixes:

https://boathistoryreport.com/direct...urers/?page=47

Going off this list, it does appear that "SEC" was taken by Sam Ervin after SeaCraft was sold, and then again by "Seabird Construction LLC" (maybe a DBA for Sam?).

Either way, I was just checking to see if there is an easy fix for my conundrum. I'd like to hold title for a SeaCraft, but I won't be selling this one anytime soon, so I guess it doesn't matter much.

Thanks again for all the help!
