Default Gelcoat color charts by year?

Since gelcoat repairs are ubiquitous in keeping these old boats alive, and many guys, me especially, are terrible at color matching small batches of gelcoat, is there a body of information for the factory gelcoat colors by year?

For example, my hull is a 1972 Seafari, and is the off-white/cream color.

Is there a way to assemble a chart by year and model as a reference for the colors that would indicate the name of the color, the "recipe" of tinting to make the color, and if there is a commercial source of pre-tinted gelcoat for the color? If there is not now such a chart, could we start one, so that future generations of owners can color match with some precision?

Problem is that gel coat fades over time and with exposure to the sun. The original gel color won’t match anymore. You’re best with a custom match yourself, or take a sample to a company that matches gel, like FGCI.
