Did it fit correctly before ? If you've been restoring for a few years, maybe it's a detail you forgot ?

Do the seams hidden under the teak trim near the helm and passenger footstools look solid ?

Where that hinged hatch is most forward and meets the windshield - is that part of the topside cracked ?

Is the width of the opening in the cabin ( the area where this hatch covers ) equal in width from forward to aft ? And down the door way or does it get wider as you measure aft ?

Something ain't right.

What screws did you use on the hinge? They should be flat heads. Make sure they are all seated flush.

Just a thought on your issue. Hope you figure it out!
